You're invited to a planting party

National Garden Bureau, American Beauties and Midwest Groundcovers invite you to attend a planting party at Growing Solutions Farm

Thursday, August 20, 2015
9:30–11 a.m.
2200 W. Campbell Park Drive, Chicago, IL
(NW Corner of S. Leavitt St. and W. Campbell Park Dr.)
American Beauties Native Plants, in partnership with grower Midwest Groundcovers, has arranged for a donation of 220 pollinator plants to be delivered on Thursday, Aug. 20 to Growing Solutions Farm, a vocational therapeutic garden for young adults with autism. In 2014 National Garden Bureau hosted a fundraiser to support Growing Solutions Farm. By the end of 2014, NGB was able to donate over $44,000 in cash, products and supplies to the Farm.
Now the young adults who work at Growing Solutions Farm will be installing a pollinator garden to attract the pollinators necessary for a productive vegetable garden.
“American Beauties is all about giving back and education. We couldn’t think of a more worthy cause. This is a phenomenal program!” – Peggy Anne Montgomery, brand manager, American Beauties. “Family, community and the environment are core values of Midwest Groundcovers. We proudly support beautification projects as well as projects that give back to the community.” – Jill Bondi, marketing manager, Midwest Groundcovers.
If you are in Chicago, or attending the IGC show at Navy Pier, you are invited to attend the planting party, see the farm and join in the joy of therapeutic gardening.
Please R.S.V.P. to Diane Blazek, especially if you will need transportation to the garden.
